IS CRITICISM OF THE MANAGER FAIR?

It's easy to criticize Manager Bud Black these days. I've done it a few times myself. Watch this: 'Did he leave Randy
Wolf in the game too long yesterday?'
Yes, and he took him out too early in his last outing. 'Did he make a
mistake by not getting Sean Henn out of the game after one really good inning, which would have given
Henn a ton of confidence after his first Padre appearance?'
YES, and now he has a 10.80 ERA and will probably
be relegated to mop-up duty.

I can second-guess every move he makes that doesn't work out but the truth is, bad teams will always find a way to lose.
And this team has played as bad as it can possibly play 39 games into the season. Bad teams will make a manager look
really bad, really fast. I thought he was a great manager last season. Obviously, that was with a better team. Better bullpen.
Better lineup. Better defense. Those kinds of teams will make you look good. This is the kind of team that will get a
manager fired.

Hang in there, Bud. I see brighter days ahead for the Padres.
