... that besides one terrible outing on April 2nd, Trevor Hoffman has a 2.08 ERA with 9 saves in 10 chances. In those
games, he has allowed just nine hits in 13 innings, while striking out 15 batters. He's quietly having another great season.

... that Jody Gerut has hit in six of 10 games since moving to the leadoff spot, with eight walks and five strikeouts. Although
he's batting just .231 in that span, he's hit the ball hard consistently since inserted into the everyday lineup.

... that Cla Meredith has a 7.20 ERA in 10 games at Petco Park, compared to a 1.38 ERA in 15 appearances on the road.
In 2007, his problems were on the road (4.79 ERA), while he fluorished at home (2.11 ERA).

... that Kevin Kouzmanoff hit his 4th HR of the season in game 46 of the season. In 2007, he hit his 4th HR in game 48.
The big difference is a .269 batting average this season after 47 games, compared to a .207 BA after 47 games in '07.

... that Brian Giles is 18-for-42 (.429 BA) with eight walks and four strikeouts since being moved to the #3 hole on May
10th.

... that the last time Shawn Estes had back-to-back quality starts, he was pitching for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2005.
He actually had three great starts in a row, starting with a complete game victory on June 13th against the White Sox. He
allowed two runs in eight innings in a loss to the Indians on June 19th, then followed that up with a win against the Tigers
on June 24th, as he allowed just one earned run in 6.1 innings.

... that Josh Bard has 12 hits in his last 82 at bats (.146 BA) since he caught all 22 innings of a game on April 17th. It looks
like he's finally going to get some good rest. Unfortunately, it will be on the DL.

... that Paul McAnulty is 0 for his last 15. Chase Headley is batting .357 with 6 HR and 11 RBI's in the month of May. What
are we waiting for???
